Projects We’ve Managed
CARRIERS
- Designed and priced patented term life insurance product with innovative accelerated issue/underwriting provisions.
- Developed solutions to remediate administrative and regulatory problems with closed blocks of complex life insurance products from the 1980’s-1990’s.
- Helped a carrier develop a new UL administrative system and convert and test block of over a dozen plans and 100,000 policies in force.
- Re-designed a more efficient and more accurate process for variable historical performance return reports. Saved carrier over hundreds of thousands of internal administrative costs for 15+ years.
- Helped several companies with post-issue illustration and illustration actuary requirements.
- Designed, priced, and filed a full portfolio of life insurance products and required forms for a company that up that point never sold life insurance.
- Reverse-engineered 3-factor dividend formulae for closed block of participating policies so that company could revise dividend scales.
- Designed administrative workarounds for 7702/7702A processing, compensation systems, and new product issues.

The Team
Chuck Ritzke, FSA, MAAA
Founder
Chuck has over 40 years of actuarial experience working in life insurance. His work has focused on product development, marketing, software development, actuarial consulting, and general problem-solving for insurance organizations. Prior to founding Problem Solving Enterprises in 1995, Chuck held various actuarial, marketing, and administration management roles at Zurich Life and Bankers Life and Casualty.
Chuck is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and he is actively involved in committee work. Chuck is also currently on the Board of Directors of the Intercompany Marketing Group (ICMG).
Chuck attended Rockford College (B.S. Math), LSU (Math Grad Work), and University of Illinois (M.S. Math).
